Marketing Associate Intern, Symcor

Symcor supports the banking and telecommunications industry in Canada through a variety of product and service offerings. I mainly worked within the open banking initiative department.

Closely working with the marketing department, I played an active role in planning and promoting a successful banking and technology conference, which attracted over 150 attendees with a 75% check-in rate. Through targeted email campaigns, I achieved a notable 42% event sign-up rate. Additionally, I collaborated on various marketing materials and used Adobe Creative Cloud Apps to enhance content production and editing efforts.

Event Management and Coordination: My enthusiasm and creativity in event planning and promoting led me to be a very active player in the upcoming conference. I aided in planning and executing a banking and technology conference, overseeing 150+ attendees and achieving a 75% check-in rate.

Marketing and Promotion: Using various email lists and cold emailing tactics, I created targeted email campaigns based on their past attendance to the conference and interest in open banking and technology. Working collaboratively with the marketing team, I crafted the email and copy for the different segments, resulting a 42% event sign-up rate from emails alone.

Content Production and Editing: Collaborated with the open banking team to produce and edit content for various marketing, promotional, and selling materials, including product sheets, blogs, websites, sales decks, and booklets. I continued my learning with the Adobe Creative Cloud Apps, like Illustrator, Lightroom, Photoshop, InDesign, Premier Pro, and After Effects.
